If you and your girlfriend are in a long distance relationship and you’re going through a break up, you have an idea that not like a regular relationship, yours feel so much worse. I’m here to help you out by giving you some pointers.
You might think that it’s the distance between you two is the real reason why it didn’t work out, but this is hardly the case. So, if you feel as if you have a drawback , in fact the only drawback you might have is you might get over her sooner rather than later.
Just like a normal breakup, the first step to getting her back is to avoid direct contact, at all costs, directly after the breakup. During this time, try to keep yourself as busy as possible. Don’t just sit, staring at your phone wondering when she’s going to call. Fight through the urges to call her and definitely don’t stay on the phone with her begging or pleading for forgiveness.
Emailing, skyping, messaging through text, BM or Facebook, just like calling are all banned. No matter what type of communication right now is counterproductive and it’s not going to help while you’re still both raw from the breakup.
To help resist those inevitable urges, grab a piece of paper and write down your thoughts or emotions. You can make it as long as you want. Use this as a release, poor everything you wish you could say to her on it.
DO NOT SEND IT!
Do not send it! Also, make sure you’re using a piece of paper, if you were to type it on the computer it’s too easy to then copy and paste it into an email. Don’t trust your own self-control.
Only after you’ve aloud enough time to pass, you can start to open the lines of communication but SLOWLY. A short text message, email or Facebook message, something small and harmless, just a casual hello would work.
If you don’t get any reply, or you get a negative reply, that’s a clear sign you moved too fast. Shrug it off and try again later.
If you usually used email as a form of communication during your relationship, use this to send a mid-length message. Don’t ramble on too long, don’t mention the breakup and get it positive.
Same goes if you usually spoke on the phone. Ring her up and start a casual, short conversation. You’ll be able to judge how she feels when you talk to her.
If your girlfriend is either long distance or local, getting her to be attracted to you again, is done in the same way. It just takes time and patience.
